Position: License Technician
Department Name: Photo ID
Job Summary: Provides efficient, courteous customer service to all persons who enter the Photo License Center. Assures that customers have proper identification and documentation. The License Technician is responsible for the operation of the work site, including: security and accountability of consumables and customer information, processing all customers courteously, promptly, and without discrimination or prejudice for any reason, issuing a finished product to the correct customer, and recording the transaction as required.
Thank you for your interest in the Part-Time Photo tech position. Please know that this is only a part-time position with no more than 29 hours per week paid at the rate of $16.74 per hour. Although the position is located at PennDOT facilities it is important to understand this position is NOT a position with PennDOT and is not benefit eligible. Things to know about the position prior to the interview
- This is a customer service position
- You will be expected to be polite and professional
- This position requires you to be punctual and reliable
- Due to the requirements of the contract with PennDOT, SpArc Services is charged every time an employee is late or calls out and for a shift and additional coverage is not available.
- You will have to answer customer questions
- You must have the ability to overcome obstacles
- The interview process includes a phone screen, 1st interview, test, 2nd interview and fingerprinting.

- Operate all aspects of the photo license standard-issue equipment, including but not limited to, the system and printers
- Must be proficient in changing and replacing all consumables in the card printer and do so within the equipment vendor's demonstrated time and performance standards to ensure continuous customer service
