Once again, we ask for your support as we continue to raise funds to create an outdoor space that will offer a much-needed green space to the community in North Philadelphia. We have had several successful fundraising efforts, but to build the park we envision, we need your help to make it a reality. The new space will cost nearly $1.4 million and will include areas for recreation, athletics, performing arts, and quiet reflection, that all foster health and wellness for an often marginalized community.
We are so excited to show you just how BIG we are dreaming with the Park at SpArc. We look forward to making this a reality for the participants in our programs and the larger community. As you can see from the photo below we are trying to ensure that the park provides a space that allows for the unique needs of the individuals we are so proud to serve.
We have been working diligently to finish the demolition, adding the finishing touches to the building, rerouting the utilities, and readying the site for next month's knockdown. This has truly been a team effort and we are so very fortunate to have such an amazing team of contractors, electricians, engineers, project managers, and staff!
We would not have been able to get this far without you, our faithful supporters! Thank you for what you have already given, and thank you for your consideration of donating today to help take the project from demolition to construction.
Access to healthy green environments and places to safely enjoy outdoor exercising is not something you see enough in North Philadelphia, and we want to change that by building, “The Park at SpArc.”
This new park will help encourage mobility, exercise, and outdoor activities and promote healthier lifestyles and meaningful connections with our neighbors.
The park will be life-changing for our organization, but don't take our word for it-- ask any of the many program participants who have helped us in taking this idea into a concept, and now taking it from a concept to a reality! We can’t wait to invite you to our ribbon-cutting ceremony once the Park at SpArc is completed!
