2017 has been a year of great transition for our organization and for the individuals we serve. We have increased the number of people who are experiencing the community, added to the success of our employment services, and continued to lead the way with secondary transition training and service.

Since July 1, 2017 we have helped more than 41 individuals with employment services; 26 of whom now have jobs, 13 more have completed training and are actively looking for employment, and three have internships with the hope that permanent employment will follow the successful completion of the internships.

We are expanding community engagement services every day and to date, 266 of the 300 program participants are now going out in the community at least two days a week - that’s a whopping 89%! The individuals have racked up just under 20,000 hours exploring their world and expanding their horizons.

The Arc staff are continuing to provide secondary transition training to school administrators, transition counselors, and others who are responsible for preparing youth with disabilities for life after high school. Through their efforts, thousands of people are now assisting students in new and exciting ways.

We know what we are doing works. We see it in every new job, every new volunteer opportunity, and with every smile after a personal goal is reached.

There is so much more to do and we can’t do it alone. We need your help. Your investment in SpArc Philadelphia will help us do so much more for the individuals with disabilities that count on us for services and supports.

Please make a donation today and start another person on their path to success. Thank you!
